The Graduate Certificate in Translation (CTr) is a program offered by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. It is open to anyone interested in the program, including senior undergraduates and graduate students enrolled at AUA who wish to prepare for rewarding careers as translators and cross-cultural communications specialists. If you have a passion for languages, want to keep up with the latest developments in the field, and want to work with some of the best scholars and translators in the region, this program is for you.
Full-time students complete the program over the course of one year while part-time students over the course of two years. The program typically consists of two fifteen-week semesters. Courses are scheduled during evening hours. Upon successful completion of the coursework (4 courses at 3 credits each for a total of 12 credits), students receive a Certificate in Translation from English into Armenian and vice versa.

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN TEACHING ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
The Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (CTEFL) program enhances the professional knowledge and practical skills of in-service and pre-service classroom teachers in Armenia and throughout the region. It is designed to meet the needs of those current and future teachers who may not have the time or aspiration to pursue a Master’s degree but want to keep up with the latest developments in the field and improve their teaching. CTEFL courses have been carefully selected to build a highly practical experience with hands-on assignments, observation and teaching fieldwork.
CTEFL Cohorts
Students may select one of two cohorts of the CTEFL Program:
• Year-round cohort: In this format, CTEFL students complete the program within two academic semesters – Fall and Spring, each lasting 15 weeks. They join their classes along with MATEFL students.
• Special CTEFL cohort: This CTEFL format is delivered with a partner organization from the community (a school or another educational institution). It is offered pending the agreement with the partner organization. Applicants outside of the partner organization can also apply pending space availability. Such applicants should be ready to adjust to the schedule established with the partner organization. For more information, please contact us.
To successfully complete the CTEFL program, students must complete all required courses/modules with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. CTEFL recipients who wish to pursue further study towards the MA TEFL may transfer their CTEFL courses towards the MA TEFL program.

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN FINANCE

The one-year program offered by the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in the Manoogian Simone College of Business and Economics (CBE) helps professionals boost their financial acumen by providing training in many aspects of finance including:
• the theories behind financial and risk management and portfolio investment
• financial instruments and portfolio diversification
• practitioner’s perspective for asset allocation and multi-asset investing
• analysis and valuation of traded securities
• tools for portfolio performance measurement and asset pricing models
• index models, and applied time series analysis
• insights of corporate finance theory and application of the theory to real-life financial decisions

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN DATA ANALYTICS
Interested in a rewarding career in the field of Data Analytics? Then consider AUA’s Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics (CDA). The 16-month program offered by the Master of Science in Economics (MSE) program in the Manoogian Simone College of Business and Economics (CBE) provides professionals with the skills required to be globally competitive in the field of data analysis. Students explore introductory and advanced topics in statistics, data management, analysis, and visualization. Throughout the four graduate level courses required for succession completion of the program, students will study probability theory, statistical analysis methods and tools, visual presentations, concepts and techniques for data mining and web scraping. Professionals who complete the CDA will have a robust knowledge of data analysis methods and tools, including:
- understanding of Econometric theory
- working knowledge with real-world data sets
- ability to formulate the research question and design studies
- ability to discover and present information hidden in the data
- working knowledge of statistical software and programming languages like Stata and Python

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN HOTEL AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
The program is open to those interested in a rewarding career in the field of tourism and hospitality management as well as for those who want to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams in the hospitality industry. The program will provide students with the skills required to succeed in the fields of tourism and hospitality management through exploring the fundamental concepts of management and the Program will help graduates prepare for the next step in their careers by developing the skills and know-how essential for managerial-level professionals, including advanced business acumen, strategic insight, high-level management skills, and specialized industry knowledge.
Lectures will be held by leading specialists in the field paired with guest speakers from throughout the hospitality industry.
Upon successful completion of coursework (seven courses totaling 14 credits), students receive a Graduate Certificate in Hotel and Hospitality Management.
To successfully complete the CHHM program, students must complete all required courses/modules with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. CHHM graduates who wish to further pursue their studies toward the MBA program may transfer their CHHM courses and credits toward the boot camp and/or free electives.
