Graduate Certificate Program Enrollment Requirements and Application Deadlines
Submitting a complete online application is an important part in our holistic admissions process. To ensure your application is complete and eligible for review, please make sure you fulfill the following requirements.
1. Application for Enrollment in Graduate Certificate Programs
Submit a complete online Application for Enrollment in Graduate Certificate Programs, including all required documents as outlined on this page and in the application instructions.
2. Proof of undergraduate degree and transcript
- Undergraduate Diploma: Scanned copy of your undergraduate university diploma. If you are in your final year of studies, provide an official letter from your university confirming your enrollment and expected graduation date.
- Undergraduate Transcript: Scanned copy of your undergraduate transcript, including your Cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average).
- Postgraduate Documents: If available, scanned copies of your postgraduate diploma(s) (or letter of standing) and transcript(s).
Attention International applicants: Please verify your undergraduate university documents well in advance of the admission deadline through ARMENIC (National Information Center for Academic Recognition) to confirm your eligibility for graduate studies at the American University of Armenia. Attach the verified document(s) to your application.
Note: All admitted students are required to present official proof of graduation (original diploma and transcript) before the start of classes at AUA.
3. English Language Proficiency
Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following options:
- Standardized Test Scores: Official, valid results from TOEFL iBT or IELTS Academic. For AUA application purposes, the TOEFL iBT/IELTS Academic scores are valid only if your test date was less than two years before the application submission date. You must ensure that official test sores are sent to AUA directly from the testing service, using AUA’s institution codes as note below:
- TOEFL iBT – 4151
- IELTS Academic – 40 Baghramyan Ave, Yerevan
- English language Proficiency Test Waiver: Eligible applicants may request a waiver. Review the English Language Proficiency Test Waiver policy to check your eligibility, and apply at apply.aua.am, if eligible.

4. Standardized Test scores (if required by your selected program)
The Data Analytics Graduate Certificate Program requires official Graduate School Admissions Exam results. Alternatively, a waiver for eligible applicants or an AUA Internal Assessment for GST* (Graduate Standardized Test) are available
- Official, valid results from GRE General (quantitative section) / GMAT (quantitative section): Ensure you take the exam no earlier than five years by the deadline you intend to apply, using the AUA’s institution code (GRE – 0676, GMAT – 0284).
- GRE/GMAT test waiver for eligible applicants, as described below. If eligible, submit an online application at apply.aua.am.
